Historic Productions Ltd is a team of top historians and researchers led by James Hooper and co-founded by Dr Oliver Cox, former Heritage Engagement Fellow at Oxford University. Historic Productions researches and writes your company history for better brand story and employee engagement. James founded Historic Productions following 15 years as UK Director of Global Heritage Fund, an international heritage conservancy that has delivered heritage-led solutions for 28 sites in 19 countries, forming over 120 partnerships to engage communities, businesses and the public sector.He is a qualified solicitor and from 2016 to 2018 served as a trustee of the Prince's School of Traditional Arts. James is a member of the Society of Genealogists, the Archives and Records Association and an associate member of the Association of Heritage Interpreters.

Oliver Cox - Culturewell

Co-Founder

 

Heritage Engagement Fellow at the University of Oxford and leads the Oxford University Heritage Network.He teaches architectural and cultural history and is faculty member for both the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme and Oxford Cultural Leaders at the Said Business School. Oliver is Chair of the Heritage Alliance’s Digital, Learning and Skills Advocacy Group.As leader of the Research Unit, Oliver brings the best historians and researchers in your sector to focus on your story.

Filmmaker

Sebastian is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with 15+ years in film and TV. As head of the film unit at Historic Productions, he blends historical research with compelling storytelling to create visually stunning films.

His career includes the Oscar-shortlisted The Eagle Huntress and the award-winning One Breath, alongside collaborations with brands like Canon, Red Bull, Google, and Visa. At Historic Productions, he leads a team dedicated to producing high-quality, engaging historical content that resonates with contemporary audiences.

Historic Productions Photography Unit

Photographer

Adrian is a world-renowned photographer whose work has featured in The National Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts. Known for his meticulous yet relaxed approach, he has secured numerous high-profile commissions.

His images for the Mr & Mrs Smith travel books helped establish the brand, leading to eight publications. He has also worked on major campaigns for The Rocco Forte Collection, Kempinski, Rosewood, Hilton, Jumeirah, and Belmond.

His latest book, The Queen’s Green Canopy, documents 70 ancient trees and forests in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, with a foreword by King Charles III.

Research Director

Juliet is an architectural historian specialising in the social history of British buildings. She has been involved with Historic Productions since 2022.

She has published several academic articles on the design and use of architectural space in Georgian London and contributed new entries to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. She is currently writing a book on elite women and the London town house in the eighteenth century.

Juliet holds a Master’s degree from the Courtauld Institute of Art and a PhD from Birkbeck College, University of London. She is a member of the Georgian Group, the Society of Architectural Historians, and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
